Enjoying unrivalled, uninterrupted sea views & so much more!

Apart from the obvious natural landscapes and sea views of Vlicha Bay, what also makes this such an unrivalled location is the easy distances to all the essential amenities. Although a semi rural location this is not an isolated one and much is conveniently within walking distance.

Vlicha Bay is in the middle of the east coast of Rhodes – between the resort of Kalathos and the historic town of Lindos. The beach itself is only a 5 minute walk (300 meters) down from VLK to the waters edge. The beach, popular with water sports enthusiasts, is a pebbled one with the final quarter then turning sandy.

A five minute walk from the villa is the large local supermarket, Flavaris, offering delicatessen, butcher, a wide selection of wines and spirits and all groceries. Adjacent to the supermarket is a coffee shop, Zucherro, with a bakery selling quality cakes and ice creams.

Most of the hotels in the bay have a fairly open policy to welcome outside guests. The Rotonda restaurant at the Lindian Jewel Hotel also offer an excellent service allowing our guests to call them and order off their delicious take out menu – which is then delivered to your door at VLK.

VLK has close proximity to Lindos (3 minutes drive away). In Lindos itself there are many diverse restaurants, bars, shops and banks. The magnificent Acropolis towers over the white washed village. Granted a preservation status, Lindos has managed to maintain its old traditions and charms.

There are many restaurants in Lindos but none nicer and more special than Arhontiko and one we wholeheartedly recommend.

The utterly charming Melenos Hotel is well worth a visit for a drink, lunch or evening meal. The ambience and spectacle created by the owner Michalis Melenos is second to none.

On the beach at St.Paul`s in Lindos is Tambakio, a bar / restaurant with impressive views of the bay it sits within.

The nearby resort of Pefkos is a 5 minute drive away and has attractive beaches, shops and tavernas.

5km from VLK is Lardos, offering a glimpse of more traditional Greek life and has many bars and restaurants on offer. Our favourite suggestion for dining (for anywhere on the island) is at Roulas Restaurant.  The owners, Maritsa, Mike and Yannis, are so welcoming and the delicious food great value.

We also recommend Valentinas, another excellent restaurant.

The Grapevine is a local bar in Lardos ran by our property managers Katie and Lee Chandler – ideal for a pre or post dinner drink.

Drive 10 minutes down the coast turn off to Haraki – here you will find, at the waters edge, Bottoms Up. Ran by Despina and her family the cafe offers excellent breakfasts, lunches and evening meals.

The Waterhoppers Scuba Diving School offer you a full range of PADI certified training courses. Lee and his team deliver a quality Scuba Diving service for everyone from 8 years old onwards. Recommended – a rare opportunity to discover the amazing underwater world that Rhodes has to offer. Link below.

The Jungle Day is one of the most exciting and interesting excursions on Rhodes taking in unspoilt natural landscapes, river beds, caves and waterfalls. A buffet lunch and refreshments are included. Child friendly.

No stay at VLK would be complete without indulging further into the world of luxury and we are able to offer our guests a discounted Private Yacht hire service from Kiotari Water Sports. A private transfer will be arranged taking you from VLK over to your luxury yacht. The skipper and crew will then look after you for the day – sailing along the coastline of Rhodes. A delicious lunch is provided along with the opportunity to swim in nearby coves. Having experienced this excellent trip ourselves we can confirm it as magical and worthwhile as it sounds.
