"....the whole look, flow and feel (of the villa) has exceeded all of our expectations! "
Thanks for reading all about our villa, Villa Lindos Kalliopi, on Rhodes. This is our home for several months of the year and it is something we have a great passion for....We also love and support greatly the Greek Island of Rhodes.
In Greek mythology, Kalliopi was one of the nine beautiful goddesses known as muses. Her name translated into English means beautiful-voiced and she was the muse of epic poetry. The muses were considered to be the key to the good life since they brought both prosperity and friendship and were believed to inspire art
and literature. So it is fitting we gave an artists name to an artists home.
To give you a brief background on ourselves - we are award winning UK based interior designers and developers. Our strong interest in interior and garden design has led to a lot of our work being featured in several (UK) national interior magazines and the national press:

Our career is now very much focused on interiors and gardens, and also property restoration & development.
Our small 16th Century cottage in Cheshire (below) is the perfect UK base.

Although very much retaining and tributing the heritage of the cottage we have added our own stamp on the property that very much brings it into the 21st century!

We love it! However we also felt we needed a little more....
For several years we have dreamed of owning a holiday home abroad. After discovering Rhodes in 2004 we realised this Greek island was at the top of our list!
It was never anything we rushed into lightly however and it was only in mid 2007, on our third visit to the island, that we stumbled across the construction of Villa Lindos Kalliopi in the most gorgeous and quiet Vlicha Bay, close to Lindos.
The finish the developer was giving the property was encouraging and we knew we could go on to create something special, so we then felt very confident in deciding to buy our first home on Rhodes.
What ultimately made our minds up was the the views from the pool terrace. South facing, panoramic and very immediate they truly are sensational. The terrace and the views combine to make you feel like a star. The positioning is hard to beat anywhere!
We are really proud to be the owners. The plans we had to furnish the villa came to fruition quickly and we spent all of January 2008 getting everything finished and have been regulary returning ever since to keep things fresh and to make things extra special. We love the finished results, it is some of the best work we have done and the whole look, flow and feel has exceeded all of our expectations. The whole process has been thrilling and we just try and spend as much time as possible here.

"...for 2012 we have again completed many exciting additions, changes and upgrades! Our commitment to the villa is ongoing."
The characteristics are those that separate the best from the rest - the attention to detail, the supremely comfortable surroundings, those thoughtful little touches in a room, some hints of decadence, the imaginative decor, the dramatic views. For 2012 we have already completed many exciting additions, changes and upgrades including another magnificent "banquette" seat, this time in the front garden, that very much emulates the traditional white washed Greek walls you see across the islands, the exterior of the villa is repainted and revamped, new original art introduced and some further changes to the gardens too!! So watch this web site for even more exciting updates in the months ahead....next update April 2012....
